The Prison of The Material

I want you to take a moment and just look at the world around you and then read this article. Warning: This article may cause rebelliousness inside of you.

We navigate a world of constructs—systems and symbols that shape our lives, yet remain invisible to most. Money, media, education, government… levers of control disguised as pillars of stability.

But what if these constructs don’t empower us… What if they enslave us?

Fiat currency, backed by nothing but trust, flows through our lives like water through a sieve. Banks create money from loans, inflating economies and devaluing the dollar. We work harder for wages that buy less, trapped in a cycle of diminishing returns.

The media spins narratives that distort reality, while the education system feeds us myths—pilgrims seeking freedom, governments built on justice, histories sanitized through their fictions.

Archaeology denies the monolithic structures that defy logic and physics, erasing evidence of ancient civilizations that challenge the narrative.

We chase hollow riches, equating worth with possessions, while hypersexualized images reduce women to their appeal. Violent music fuels inner-city violence, and smartphones disconnect us from meaningful relationships.

Surveillance grows omnipresent, echoing Orwell’s 1984, as the powers that be fear our awakening to the illusions of control.

The mystics speak of piercing the veil. The prophets of truth. Meditation, inquiry, rebellion… they all whisper the same refrain: That what we call “freedom” is merely a gilded cage.

To escape, we don’t need wealth. We need awareness. Intention. Courage.

Through inquiry we question. Through rebellion, we resist. Through truth, we awaken…

That freedom may not be in the system— But the system in freedom.

That power may not be a force— But a choice.

That control may not confine— But crumble.

And that who we are is not what we own… but what we reclaim.
